| biography |
"Gary, 31, comes from Cambridge and is currently residing in sunny Chelmsford, raising beats and nurturing samples. He's been bennying about with his guitar for about 17 years and discovered the joys of sampling a couple of years ago. Raised on a diet of drum and bass, heavy rock and jazz licks he played with Mojo in the clubs around Londinium before working with the dance band Idolize and doing sessions with various dance, jazz and rock bands before settling down for many cosy nights in with his sampler. His influences include 4Hero, Red Snapper, EZ Rollers, Lewis Taylor, Jeff Buckley, Miles Davis, Beastie Boys, Andy C, Batman, Substance and Decoder.
Jodi, 25, hails from the Basildon massive!!!! (or Bas Vegas as we like to call it). She has been singing (or warbling) for about 12 years now and tinkling the ivories for 18 years (and she still says she's rubbish, but we know otherwise) and is an avid jumper up and downer at many of London's top night gurn spots (e.g. Stringfellows!!!Only joking). Regular nights out at Fabric and The End are on her agenda. She draws her influences from Red Snapper, Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, Bjork, Frank Zappa, Bootsy Collins, the Freak brothers, Thom Yorke, King George of Clinton, the zigzag man and the leaves of the African Jubjub plant!!!!!! Jodi has performed with her band 'Hussy' and gigged with them in Santander in Spain, Cherbourg, Caen and Ouistreham in France also the clubs in the Balearics before packing it in for a project in funky, chunky Chelmsford with Gary, which was soon to become Headslider.
